Community coaches do OSEP training
Community coaches, players and few national coaches gathered at the Vanuatu Association of Sports and National Olympic (VASANOC) House yesterday for the Oceania Sport Education Program (OSEP) course for course Community Coaching & Officiating.
The course which covered three modules will be concluded today with practical sessions and assessment of each participant.
Vanuatu OSEP Coordinator and Educator Anolyn Lulu said;" this is targeted to community level coaches, club coaches , so we fortunate to have three sports participated they send in their coaches.
"We have three who came all the way from the outer island," Lulu said.
"Most of these participants are players, they are new, some just started involving in sport but as we go through the morning session we can see that they are coming out and opening up and sharing their knowledge and what they have.
"It's good to see that there are players out there who can be coaches after they finish their playing career.
"We have three modules in this course practicals in the second day same time we also assess them , it's competency training and give them feedback."
